Fees and Payments

Visitor Mat Fee: We have no mat fee--we appreciate the gift of your training. Any donation you wish to make will be gratefully accepted.

We do not have long-term contracts: all student memberships are month-to-month and you are never locked in.

For those who eager to pursue Aikido training but face a financial barrier, assistance may be available. Contact us to learn more.

Dues can be paid in person at the dojo (preferably by check, cash can be accepted if necessary) or by a variety of arrangements including Bill Pay/ACH and Zelle. Many students find automated recurring payments convenient, and it is very helpful for the dojo to have student fees arrive on time each month. Annual fees

• Member fee: $15
• ASU dues: $45 for white belts, $75 for black belts (ASU members only, does not apply to new members unless they are already affiliated with ASU)

Monthly dues

• Adult (age 13 and up): $95
• Student (high school, college, or homeschool): $60
• Youth (age 5-12): $60
• Family/household discount: Second and subsequent members pay 50% of regular rate

Testing fees

For those students who wish to take rank promotion tests, ASU (our federation/governing body) collects a testing fee. These fees may fluctuate as they are partly determined by the exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Japanese Yen. ASU testing fees are paid to Aikido of Madison, which will submit them on your behalf.
