Location and facilities
Dojo Location
2219 Atwood Ave
Madison, WI 53704
Note that the entrance used by students is at the back of the building. Spectators or visitors may enter there, or at the front of the building.
Please remove your shoes when you enter the building. On the street side (visitor seating) there are shoe trays where you can place them. On the parking lot side (main student entrance), remove your shoes and carry them downstairs to be placed on the shoe racks.
Parking
There are a small number of parking spots in our off-street private lot directly behind our building. Please do not park in the spot marked "Reserved for Sensei" or behind our neighbor's building. There is additional free on-street parking in the neighborhood around the dojo. Check street signs for specific hours.
Accessible parking
We have one van accessible space in the lot.
Changing facilities
From our main common area downstairs are our shared changing rooms on the left and right for those identifying as male and female, respectively. In between them is a private changing room that is generally available to anyone, though for some seminars it may be reserved for the use of the visiting instructor. There is also a bathroom downstairs which can be used for changing if the private changing room is not available.
If you do not use stairs and need to change, you can use the upstairs bathroom. It is roughly wheelchair-accessible, and features a folding seat with grab bar.
You are also welcome to arrive already dressed for class.
We do not have a shower at the dojo.
